Active Parenting for Teens (Ages 12-18)

Do you have children between the ages of 12-18? If so, please do not miss the opportunity to participate in this faith-based, comprehensive 6-session course.

Comments from a few Last session attendees:

“For me it was a real eye opener. It made me understand my kid’s behavior and most importantly, my own.” – Rose Marie Danielle Arthur

“This is an excellent course for parents to learn why our teens act the way they do; to learn how to give them more independence and greater responsibilities; to teach them that everything they do has a reward or a consequence; and to prepare them for adulthood.“ – Craig & Eileen Hanley

“Between the presenter and the materials there is so much concrete information! If you practice these techniques, your parenting skills will improve.” – Donna Johnson

These interactive sessions will focus on:

  • Issues facing today's teens; effective parenting styles; what parents control or influence.
  • Winning Cooperation; skills for clear, honest communication.
  • Responsibility and Discipline; methods of respectful discipline; setting limits.
  • Building Courage, redirecting misbehavior, methods for handling power struggles.
  • Drugs, Sexuality, and Violence; problem-prevention strategies.
